The mission of SBC is to support our customers from a business perspective, in optimizing its operations, streamline its structure and the study and development of new business opportunities in the maritime, port and intermodal transport sector.

Our service covers all business processes, with a practical and efficient approach, and devoted to continuous customer support, with the ultimate goal of value creation. Our customer commitment does not end until the full commissioning and final resolution of the project.

The management team has extensive experience in real market situations, is highly specialized and always hard-working with enthusiasm.

Management Team

Jesús Nieto García

Degree in Economics and Business Studies Degree in Financial Economics and Accounting (UNED) and MBA from IESE.

Jesus, founding Partner of SBC, developed his previous professional career in Suardiaz Group, where held responsibilities as CFO and CEO of the Fleet and Bunker company. He has been a member of the Boards of Directors of several companies, such as Auto Terminal, Suardiaz Barcelona Maritime Services, Grimaldi Suardiaz, and Suardiaz Cat Shipping Company. He has taught the Cost Chain course at the International Logistics and Distribution master programme ins Spain.

Carlos Alvarez-Cascos

Degree in Physics / M.Sc. in Automatic Calculation from the University Complutense of Madrid.

Founding Partner of SBC, prior Carlos held several management positions in multinational companies and accounts with previous experience in consulting. He has extensive knowledge of information technology and business intelligence. He worked eight years holding different responsibilities in Acciona Trasmediterránea as IT director, International Business Development and Strategy, and was member part of the Steering Committee of the company.

Álvaro Gutiérrez Merelles

Degree in Economics and Business Sciences. MBA from IESE and IE

Founding Partner of SBC, prior Alvaro has developed his professional career in the Acciona group where he has held positions in the Construction, Airport Services and Logistics Services Division. Joined Acciona Trasmediterránea in 2004 where he held the following responsibilities: Controller, Port Manager and Manager of Operations he was a member of the Steering Committee of the shipping company and Director of many of its subsidiaries.
